Hungry Hungry

10 Jun 2007 - My partner and I was at Mid Valley for a movie, while waiting for the show which will be start after 1 hour later, we had walk around mid valley to find some snack for our stomach. 

At the same floor as the TGV Cinema nearby, we found this restaurant and hop in for a try. We have to walk staircase for one more level up to reach the restaurant. 

Each table and chair are classic wood design with the word "Gu Do" on it, beside that there are some picture regarding Vietnam culture. While waitress are wearing classic cheong sam as their uniform. 

After we choose our place and sit down, the waitress come to us and put a very long paper on top of the table. This paper had been stamp with 2 set of chinese word 吉祥 (Propitious) & 富贵 (Wealth & Rank), one set on each side [Left and Right].

 

Because we are not really hungry, we had simply order some small portion food for tryout. 

Crispy Popiah  - Yummy , quite crunchy ^^ 

Sesame Chili for Popiah - With this chili, the popiah is more delicious

Not sure what they call this, but it taste like otak otak 

Unknow food name....

The outlook of this food look like ju cheong fun, when eat, it really taste like what you see... ^^

Price for above food are consider expensive because the portion is really really too small... But the food are nice and yummy especially the popiah. I think most of the Vietnam food are small portion compare to others.

20 May 2007 - Ok, next we come to Strawberry Farm 

This is how Strawberry grows up

I not sure why, but from what  i saw most of the strawberry shape is not really as nice as what we bought from the market or shopping mall. 

We tried to pick some big size strawberry directly from the farm and taste it...errr..... quite sour..... not nice ~.~"

However, if you plan to buy nice, big and yummy strawberry, you can goto shop or Saturday Pasar Malam at Tanah Rata which you can bargain price and taste before buy.

 

And if you like Chocolate much, there are some cafe that offer Chocolate Strawberry Steamboat which nearby the Pasar Malam or around Cameron Highland. 

Strawberry Ice cream, ice blended strawberry drinks, strawberry cakes and lots of strawberry product are available here too.... =)

20 May 2007 – After done having lunch + breakfast at Ipoh Old Town, we continue our journey to Cameron Highlands by taking Simpang Pulai road.

The road from Simpang Pulai to Cameron Highlands is a lot better than Tapah to Cameron Highlands. (At least no body vomits during up & down hill, hehehe) 

Since the blog is about food, without wasting time, I just bypass place of visit and straight ahead to food.  

BOH Plantation.... phew.. the road to this plantation is very narrow and driving is like a snake hahah... 

Ok....so, what is the food or drinks available here ? Let see......

Hmmm.... main drinks sale in this place is TEA of course, there are several types and flavor of tea you can choose. While dessert have cakes, tarts, bread and so on.... Of course include soft drinks if you do not like tea much.... 

After looking around, we finally order some tea and dessert. 

* BOH Strawberry respberry  -- Hmmm taste abit wired... sour strawberry taste

* BOH Jasmine Green Tea -- Strong Jasmine Smell, Smell nice, when drink also taste abit wired hahaha donno why...

* BOH Tehcino -- Ooo looks like Teh Tarik hahaha 

* Strawberry Tart -- Yummy, sweet and nice to try... 

* Lemon Cheese Cake -- Strong Lemon taste and nice if you like lemon much hehe...

Price ? Expensive than you buy from shopping mall such as Giant, Carefour.... however, one thing shopping mall don't offer is.... fresh air, quiet & nice view while you enjoying your tea ^ ^ like what I show below...

Oh ya..dun forget to visit the tea manufacturer to know more about how BOH process their tea leaf.

And if you plan to buy some tea back home, you can visit the mini shop next to the order counter.

20 May 2007 – Today my best friend and I together (2 Couple) having a trip to Cameron.  We start our journey since morning. Before climb up to Cameron highland, we decide to have a stop at Ipoh town for our lunch. (Well…can say is breakfast + lunch) ^^

The shop we visit is call Ipoh Old Town Kopitiam (怡保旧街场咖啡店) located at Ipoh Old Town of course.

The shop looks quite old, but you can see quite lots of people queuing up for order foods, waiting for seat and take away order. Beside old folks, there are quite lots of youngster sitting here having their MMMmmm…. Smelling good aroma white coffee while having their roti bakar or noodles together.

Below is some of the food we order.

Price ? Hmm... of course is cheap too... But sorry i forget the price because this trip is quite some time ago. (By the way, i never think of come out a blog like this before..So, some post might not complete... Hmm maybe any of you who from Ipoh can give some comments about the price and other information regarding on this shop...) 

On 03 December 2006 morning, my company having department outing to the FIRM, Selayang.   

Having a nice & fun jungle tracking with department colleagues. Climb up and down and look at some funny funny wired wired plants that we never seen before.

After a few hour jungle tracking, we had come to this Kedai Makanan Chef Tam which located nearby the FIRM in Selayang area to have our lunch.

The lunch we order is Lunch Set which comes with:

Shark Fin Soup !??? Nope, it was crab meat , mushroom with fake shark fin soup, hehe ^^

Comments : The food above are quite nice to try, price i not really remember how much but i think is RM200+ above for 10 person. 

A blog that introduce nice yummy food ^ ^ for your taste and stomach ;-) 

Finally... I can start write to this blog after few week of housekeeping on all the old and current food photo I collected in my database.
