31 August 2009 - Today is Malaysia's Independent Day. For sure every nice place is full with people hanging around especially shopping mall, cinema, restaurant....


Today we had choose a place which is not at city center & not so crowded to avoid stuck in the traffic jam due of holiday season. And of course nearby my house hehe... After arrive to Kepong area, searching for nice food for around 25 minutes, we finally decide to stop by this restaurant to have a try. 


Fortune Steamboat Restaurant is all you can eat BBQ + Soup Steamboat type restaurant. Just pay RM18.80 per person and you can start eat until your stomach full. (Price is not include drinks) 

As usual, after order drinks we start looking for food for put into the steamboat bowl 

(Mostly when we come to all you can eat steamboat, we will order Chinese Tea)

1st Plate - Prawn, Fish Ball, Tofu Cube (Fried Type), Tofu Slice (Fu Zuk)

2nd Plate - Unknown Meat Ball, Shui Gao, Dong Fun (I tough it was Mi Hun hahaha..)

3rd Plate - Meat Crab, Japanese Tofu, Fish and so on...

4th Plate - Crab Stick, Chicken Meat (Curry Flavor Marinate), Chicken Meat (Black Pepper Marinate) , Chicken Meat (BBQ Sauce Marinate)

5th Plate - Seaweed, Noodles, Egg

Note : Beside item show above, there are still lots more especially vegetables, noodles. 

All the food above will be put into this metal bowl or plate for cook. Depend on your taste, either steam or BBQ style.

Opposite this restaurant got another restaurant call "GASOLINE Cafe"

There is a ICE Kacang desert shop nearby too ^_^, hmm next round gonna visit this restaurant for have a try. 

After an hour plus continues eating... finally we come to desert --> ICE Cream. Got Corn, Vanila, Chocolate and Mint flavor.

23 August 2009 - Today we went to Daorea Korean BBQ Restaurant which located at Kepong area. It is almost full house when we arrive to this restaurant even is just normal Sunday. Original plan was visit during merdeka day, luckily we change our plan to come earlier. So if you plan to visit here (especially on special holiday), make sure make reservation to avoid disappointment.  


Beside sale BBQ Meat set , this restaurant sale Korean À la carte food too ..... and for this round our main focus is on BBQ Meat set. 


Hmmm.... from the BBQ Set menu, got 3 types of meat available -- Beef , Chicken & Pork. Among 3 type of these meat, pork meat is the cheapest, 2nd chicken and beef meat is the most expensive. Each type of meat have marinate with different type of sauce and some is without marinate sauce. For this restaurant minimum requirement order on BBQ meat set is 2 set order. (By the way, i dun think 1 set order is enough for 2 person or above) 

This is the BBQ place for BBQ the meat. By the way, the waiter will BBQ the meat for you. What you have to do is sit there watch, wait and eat hehe...


Before the meat arrive to be BBQ, Some BBQ Set side dish is served. 

Vegetable & Garlic - This is for you to wrap the meat with other side dish to be eat together. 

For add on sauce, we have Sesame Honey sauce

Korean BBQ sauce. (looks like sambal sauce) 


Ok, now we go for side dish.... 

Egg slice with something taste like chinese new year cake - Nian Gao 年糕..... hmmm maybe is Korean type Nian Gao... (Quite gummy)

We had order 2 set of different type marinate pork meat. Above is Port Meat marinate with special korean sauce. If i not wrong the name of this dish is call "Daeji Gal-Bi"

After done BBQ the meat, the waiter will cut the meat into small piece. What you have to do is took a vegetable leaf, put the meat on top, add in side dish on top, wrap it and eat just like what I show above. 


Price : 2 BBQ Pork meat set is RM27 x 2 with free Ginseng Green Tea (unlimited refill) & Tax 10% = RM59.40.

21 August 2009 - One of my colleague had resign (Those who work same office with me should know who is him hahahaha). We had come to this restaurant for his farewell...


This is a Chinese type restaurant however it was pork free and food sold here are "Halal". The restaurant offer dim sum, noodles, ala cart, lunch, dinner and so on which similar to other Chinese restaurant. 

However, our main point here beside having farewell lunch, another reason why we choose this restaurant is because...........

Yes ! is because of this quek quek ^ ^ the Peking Duck ! 

The yummy duck skin been cut out to pieces and mix together with special made popiah skin.

While the duck meat fried with vegetable and serve as 2nd dish. (By the way, it was abit salty)

25 July 2009 - Today is another friend's birthday, the birthday boy already plan since few weeks back to bring us to a  place which famous with seafood ^ ^ however, is a bit far from KL, which is in Port Klang area. 


The restaurant is located at Teluk Gong area, Port Klang. From Batu Caves to Port Klang need around 45 minutes to 1 hour driving (we are using MRR2 Highway).

Next to the main building have a large space area which have lots of table available, beside that there are few special design "Pondok" available too if you dun like to squeeze into narrow & crowded area.


Once you been seated. The staff will put some water on the table surface... ( I tough they are cleaning the table, but no...they are not ...)  After that, they will took out a huge pink red color plastic foam and put on the top of table surface..... Oooo it was the "use and throw" table cover....
